Description
Rare opportunity! Interior tour of the c.1728 + c.1750 home of one of Marblehead’s few Loyalists, Robert “King” Hooper, focused on his extensive family of 4 wives (in sequence), 11 children (by only one wife ~ his second, married 28 years) and 4 stepchildren (brought by his third wife, who was twice widowed, just as Hooper was), plus architecture, including Georgian period (c.1750) bedrooms, an early cellar kitchen, a Federal period (early 1800s) parlor, and a 3rd-floor Federal era ballroom.

Stairs — some steep, some easy. Enjoy the contemporary art exhibits throughout the house!
