Sponsoring Trails & Sails keeps the event series free to attend and supports heritage stewards in their effort to attract new audiences. By underwriting this well-established event series, you are continuing to allow visitors to explore the special sites and stories of the Essex National Heritage Area and continuing to support heritage stewards in their efforts to build awareness & capacity for years to come. Sponsorship helps us produce the printed guidebook, the website, flyers, lawn signs, and so much more. It also helps us provide support to hosts, cultivate new ideas and relationships that strengthen the heritage area, and develop programming that is fun for the whole family.
Essex Heritage annually coordinates Trails & Sails, a county-wide event series promoting free heritage events over 10 days in September. The event series connect residents and visitors alike to historic, cultural, and natural sites around the county. Attendees have the opportunity to visit new places, enjoy unique experiences, or explore parts of the county they may not be as familiar with. Hosts of events receive free print and digital marketing for their event(s), tools & tips on hosting a successful heritage event, and the opportunity to collaborate and connect with county-wide networks and themes. Through Trails & Sails, awareness and appreciation of heritage resources can be catalyzed and all ages can enjoy what Essex County has to offer.
