Description

The Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary has been a crown jewel in Mass Audubon’s statewide conservation network for 74 years. The 1,982-acre sanctuary features diverse habitats ranging from forest, meadow, wetland, and esker; visitors of all ages delight in looking for beavers, turtles, hawks, bluebirds, & more. A farmhouse built in 1765 hosts a welcome center, and visitors delight in exploring the century-old rock grotto and stone bridge. Join us for a talk on the natural and cultural history of this unique and treasured icon of the North Shore.
