Are you aware that our local woods and wetlands are home to hundreds of unique and fascinating animals like salamanders that drop their tails in defense, frogs that freeze solid in winter, and weasels and foxes that climb trees? Join us for a walk through the woods of Camp Denison where we learn more about these unusual animals. We will overturn logs, search for tracks, use nets to catch and observe our native neighbors, and talk about why it is important to protect the habitats they call home.
Special Instructions
Please wear comfortable shoes that can get muddy and dress for the weather as we will be outside the entire time.
Weather Restrictions
If severe weather and/or heavy rain is forecast, we will notify registered participants 24 hrs prior to the event that the walk is canceled.
