Description
Any idea how the process of illuminating the first Skyscrapers was developed? Have you wondered where the first game of Lawn Tennis was played in the United States? Ever given sonar any deep thought? Answers to these big questions can be found in this geographically small municipality. Experience these “firsts” and others through our enlightening exhibit and literary walk on Wednesday, September 25 (walk requires reservation).
Literary Walk
Join Ken Turino, formerly of Historic New England, and historian Chris Mathias for a two-hour walking tour of Nahant hosted by the Nahant Historical Society. On this tour, you will learn about Hawthorne, Longfellow, and Plath, along with lesser-known poets of Lynn. This walk is taking place rain or shine.
Special Instructions
Wear good walking shoes, bring water, sunscreen. Walk is about two hours long.
