The Whittier Birthplace located in Haverhill, MA is one of the best examples of an early colonial farm, in New England. Attendees will explore the bucolic grounds of the farm that was the boyhood home of one of our country’s most beloved poets and staunch abolitionist John Greenleaf Whittier. Visitors will also be greeted inside the homestead by our renowned curator Gus Reusch, who will lead you on a tour of the 1688 farmhouse that was the inspiration for Whittier’s most famous poem: Snow Bound.
