Date & Time

Sunday, September 29, 2024

Time(s):

1:30 pm to 3:00 pm

Description

Learn the stories behind the books! This tour and short urban walk (.5 mile, 1.5 hours) begin at the Library where you’ll see beautiful, antique stained-glass windows and learn about Charles Flint, library benefactor. The tour continues to the Lura Woodside Watkins Museum, home of the Middleton Historical Society, to view items from by-gone eras, and then to the Tramp House – one of the few remaining tramp houses from the Civil War era.

Special Instructions

The library and first floor of the museum are accessible; however, the museum’s basement and the Tramp House have stairs. The walking tour will cover 1/2 mile total and take about 1 1/2 hours. The event will be held rain or shine. Please dress accordingly. Participants may also drive to the Tramp House instead of walking the .2 miles.
