Description

This tour and short (.5 mile, 1.5 hours) urban walk begin at Flint Public Library. Here you will see beautiful, antique, stained glass windows and learn about Charles Flint, the library’s benefactor. The tour and walk include a visit to Estey Tavern, built in the 1700s and nicely restored to show many of its original features. The tour and walk continue to the Tramp House, one of the few remaining tramp houses from the Civil War era.

Special Instructions

The library is handicap accessible. However, the Tavern and Tramp House are not. The walking tour will cover 1/2 mile total and take about 1 1/2 hours. The event will be held rain or shine. Please dress accordingly. Participants may also drive to the Tramp House instead of walking the .2 miles.
