Now a National Historic Landmark, Lowell’s continues to build wooden boats in the traditional method, with a mission of passing that knowledge on to the next generation through the Apprentice Program. Located on the banks of the Merrimack River in Amesbury, Lowell’s Boat Shop welcomes guests to take a step back in time and learn about the unique history and craft of wooden boat building.
