Description
The Plum Island Museum of Lost Toys & Curiosities is a living installation fed by the incoming-tide. The power of the museum lies in both the sheer volume of items on display and the sentimental reactions those items illicit in viewers. Legos, Happy Meal toys, plastic soldiers, fishing lures, matchbox cars and more serve as a reminder that all the plastic we consume still exists somewhere.
This ever-changing time capsule encourages viewers to reflect on their own consumption and habits and inspires environmental stewardship on a local level.
