Description

Our annual NSAAC star party as part of Sails & Trails (1st) weekend will take place at Battis Farm in Amesbury, and is co-hosted with the Lake Gardner Improvement Association.

We’ll have a number of volunteers with telescopes set up to look through. In addition to Jupiter and Saturn we’ll be showing off an assortment of binary and double stars, nebula, clusters, and the Andromeda galaxy.

Volunteers will also be available to answer questions, point out constellations, and when possible take requests for objects to show.

Special Instructions

Parking lot to telescopes is about 300′ walk on a gravel path at night. Bug spray strongly suggested as late twilight is feeding time. If you need to get in contact with the event organizers, you may do so here: https://www.facebook.com/northshoreastronomy

Weather Restrictions

Forecast must show that it will be cloud free during the event. Decision is made and posted a few hours before the planned start time.
