Description
In appreciation of the unique continuum that is Rocky Neck today, this 1 hour walking tour showcases both the rich history of Rocky Neck as well as the contributions and achievements of the present community. The path will include many of the diverse subjects that have enriched and continue to enrich today’s community; Native Americans, fishermen, industry, ships, tourism, transportation, celebrations, education, entertainment, and ,of course, the artists. Comfortable shoes are encouraged. Be prepared to walk on uneven terrain.
Special Instructions
Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk for an hour – 1.5 hours. In case of stormy weather the tours will be cancelled. The tour starts at the parking lot at the entrance to Rocky Neck and ends a the Cultural Center at 6 Wonson Street. Bathrooms are available at 6 Wonson Street before the tour if needed.
