SUMMARY:RESCHEDULED - Rocky Hill Meeting House Tour
DESCRIPTION:This event was rescheduled from Saturday\, September 26th to
Saturday\, October 10th. You may contact the event host directly with a
ny questions.\n\nRocky Hill Meeting House is one of the best-preserved e
xamples of an original eighteenth-century meeting house interior. The fa
ct that it has served no active congregation since the mid-nineteenth ce
ntury led to its remarkable state of preservation. Eighteenth-century ha
rdware remains intact throughout the building. The marbleized pulpit and
pillars supporting the upper galleries still boast their original paint
. Carved graffiti can be seen in the balconies. Tour participants will l
earn the fascinating history of this architectural gem.
