Special Instructions: wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for a nature walk. Please no shorts as poison ivy will be present. Suggested equipment would be binoculars, a bird guide, and something to bring water with you. Spring water will be available for participants. Bug spray is recommended. The hike will cover 2.5 miles.

Description
Walk a free guided, family-oriented walk on the Little River Trail System, Saturday the 24th at 9:00 AM and will end at 12:00 PM. Tour starts at the Marlene Schroeder Nature Trail Head at the end of Colby Farm Lane. Children over 6 with an adult are welcome. No pets. The upper Little River Watershed is a surprisingly wild area and yet so close to an urban area. Many species of animals, birds, and butterflies can be observed. The walk will cover different habitats from meadows to wetlands to deep forest habitats.
