Description

The January storm of the series of storms in the winter of 2018 deposited vast amounts of sediment throughout the Great Marsh. This sediment has become a large-scale living laboratory at the Jeffrey’s Neck Road site for studying deposition of sediment on the marsh as a technique to help marshes keep up and remain healthy and vegetated in the face of rising seas.

Please wear rubber boots for a short walk out onto the marsh

We will meet along Jeffrey’s Neck Road near the intersection of Island Park Road in Ipswich. Parking along the side of Jeffery’s Neck Road.
