Description

In Commemoration of the 162nd Anniversary of the date that Abraham Lincoln issued his Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation which in some ways was the culmination of the life work of the Lynn Abolitionists. This tour covers the City’s contribution to the national movement to end slavery in this country. We will visit the graves of several of the Lynn Abolitionists and tell the story of the abolitionist movement in Lynn from the 1830s through the Civil War.

Special Instructions

You will walk for 2 hours. Wear good walking shoes, apply sunscreen and bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
