Description
Paddle the quiet waters of the Powow and enjoy the late summer evening air! Meet at Lake Gardner Beach parking lot to depart together on this outing. Please arrive prior to 5:30 to allow time to unload and ready your canoe or kayak for the trip.
This evening, clouds are predicted to obscure the moon, so the timing of this event has been moved earlier to become a Twilight Paddle from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

Special Instructions
This is a BYOB, bring your own boat, event. A life jacket for every paddler) is required. Comfortable paddling attire, bug repellent and drinking water are recommended and some sort of illumination (glowstick etc.) is required for each boat in order to be seen after dark.

If you have time before or after the paddle, Amesbury boasts many fine restaurants and breweries nearby in its quaint downtown and historic Millyard, where the waters from Lake Gardner plunge down the illuminated Powow Falls among the red-bricked former mills. Definitely worth a visit.
