11:00 am to 11:45 am
Meet Lynn resident Lydia Pinkham, American inventor, businesswoman, and early promoter of women's health. What did women in the 1800s use to help with 'female complaints'? How did Lydia's small home business grow from what today would be considered a startup into a large medicinal company? Is Pinkham's medicine still available today?
Irene Axelrod brings Lydia to life while sharing some objects from her own personal collection. This program is free for all to attend, and includes complimentary admission to the Museum.
