Description
Where was the center of the 1645 compact village of Andover? Discover the history of the Old Burying Ground, where the stones–and empty spaces– reveal the story of the early English settlement. We will look at the changing iconography and discover some early carvers along the way. Meets directly at the entrance on Academy Road across from Court Street.
Special Instructions: Limited to 20 people. We will meet directly at the entrance of the Old Burying Ground on Academy Road, directly across from Court Street, and near the intersection with Osgood Street. Wear comfortable shoes as the ground is uneven in spots.
