Description
Please join the Nahant Historical Society and Trails & Sails for a Literary Walking Tour of Nahant on Sept 22, 2023, at 2 pm. Ken Turino of Historic New England and Chris Mathias, co-author of the recently published book Nahant Revisited will lead this tour. The tour, featuring poets and writers, will make stops along the way at the places in Nahant that inspired them. It will feature the works of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sylvia Plath, and the Poetess of Nahant, Annie Johnson, among others. Wear good walking shoes. The tour will last approximately 2 ½ hours.
FREE. Limited to 10 persons.
Special Instructions
If participating in the literary walk, good walking shoes recommended. This walk is taking place rain or shine!
