Description
Visit the past while experiencing 3 floors of artifacts and stories from 1886 through 1919. Lynn’s Civil War veterans built this Hall named for General F.W. Lander of Salem, the first Union General to die in the war. The GAR Posts were Fraternal Clubs dedicated to the welfare of widows and orphans from the war. Battle souvenirs and personal items are showcased here as well as the life and legacy of this Hall. On the National Register of Historic Places.
Special Instructions: This building is not ADA compliant. There are 44 stair steps to ascend to the Grand Hall with no elevator. There is street parking for 2 hours, or a parking lot which requires payment across the street. Tours will start on the 1/2 hour, or self walk-through
